Built by ALCo-Schenectady in December of 1922 as CCC&StL #143 (serial #63646, H-10a class), it was renumbered in 1936 to NYC 2243. The loco was retired in July of 1950. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine weight of 342,500 lb, tractive effort of 63,470lb, added booster (1936) gave 11,000 lb more tractive effort. Arthur B.
