Description:
This good looking 2-10-2 started out as ATSF compound 2-10-2 #629 built by Baldwin in October of 1905 but at the San Bernardino Shops in November of 1921, the loco was rebuilt and simplified. It lasted until being sold for scrap on June 15, 1956 to the Purdy Company. Rebuilt specs - oil burner, 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 28x32" cylinders, engine wt of 317,400 lb and tractive effort of 74,800 lb. Arthur B. Johnson photo
