Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Freight Station in Gallitzin, Pennsylvania, c. 1946. Shown here are three unidentified Pennsylvania Railroad steam locomotives: two K-4S "Pacifics" and one T-1 "Duplex." They've just pulled a passenger train out of Altoona up the East Slope of the Allegheny Mountains and passed through one of the tunnels in Gallitzin. Shortly, however, the two "Pacific" helpers will be uncoupled and returned down "The Mountain" to Altoona for further assignments while the "Duplex" will resume its daylight run to Pittsburgh and points West.
