The unique feature on MILW 2-6-6-2 #63 is the indented "cobra-hooded" Coffin type feedwater heater in front. Originally built as a compound Mallet Mogul CM&StP #5017, it was renumbered and simplified during its lifetime - 5017>9517>9313>MILW #63.
