After scouring both ends of the massive IHB Gibson Yard, we werent able to find any traces of IHB power, so we decided to go down to CP Hohman where the IHB crosses the NS Chicago District. Trains are an almost constant flow through this interlocking, as we ended up missing an inbound BNSF autroack train while trying to get placed. A CN B790 was parked in the Calumet City Yard awaiting to be taken into the Potash Corp of America just a few miles further to the east by an IHB crew. A nice CN 100 GEVO/KCS duo made for an interesting lashup to start the day. |
