Flatcar Bridge
So, the story goes that in 1982 (when the BN ran on this line) there was a derailment at this bridge at Chester in the middle of the night. The farmer who owned the land was woken up by the sound and found freight cars in the river and on his property. He sawe the flatcar and thought, "wow, free bridge". So, he called his tractor buddies up and they hoisted it up across Frog Bayou/Clear Creek, and badda bing badda boom, here we are today. Of course, thats just the story I was told.
