Dash-8s at Edwards
Five units lead a westbound grain train towards Mojave. The first two units from the left are B40-8Ws 520 and 512. These units, both built in October 1990 for the Santa Fe, wore warbonnet paint late into the BNSF days, as late as the mid 2010s for both. Both appear to have recently been repainted into BNSFs H4 scheme. This paint is largely used on yard and local power. The third unit is 4109, a C44-9W built in late 2002. The fourth unit is another C44-9W, 1111 "Four Aces." 1111 still wears the H1 paint it received when it rolled out of the Erie, PA GE plant in 1997.
