Here is a steam locomotive portrait via D.W. Eldridge that was taken in St. Louis, Missouri, on 15 May 1936. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9420, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the American Locomotive Company as an H-8C during January of 1913, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-10S in January of 1918, and retired in November of 1949 after 31 years of faithful service.
