Portraits 1. Here is a diesel locomotive portrait via G.B. Kruschke that was taken near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on 15 August 1953. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9771 and two more "EF" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9771 is an EF-15A constructed in January of 1951. The road number of the steam locomotive partially visible at the right is not recorded.
