Caption On Reverse: "K-4S Locomotive presented to the City of Altoona by the Pennsylvania Railroad Company in memory of the 'Old Iron Horse.' Retired in May of 1955 after 2,490,000 miles. Burns." #1361 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during May of 1918, retired in May of 1956, enshrined at the Horseshoe Curve on 08 June 1957, restored for excursion service during 1987-1988, withdrawn from service and disassembled because of safety concerns, and still not reassembled/restored/resurrected. |
