| New Orleans Public Service 968 was at the Mississippi River end of the NAPOLEON car line, on Napoleon Avenue at Tchoupitoulas Street. The 968 had been built by the Perley A. Thomas Car Works in 1924. The NAPOLEON car line was replaced with buses on 18 February 1953, but car 968 is still in operation on the ST. CHARLES line in 2020. (approximate date of photo) |
