PRR 5474, K-4S, c. 1947
Here is an original photo that was taken in Bay Head Junction, New Jersey. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5474, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during March of 1927 and retired in May of 1948 after 21 years of faithful service. Looks to me like it's all set for another run on the New York & Long Branch line to South Amboy. The photographer's name and the date are not recorded. Wilson E. Jones Collection; #2 of 6.
