| A pair of unit trains of 2-bay covered hoppers, both led by BNSF units, meet on CN rails at Dixie Rd. at Town of Vinland, Winnebago Co., WI on 27 Jan. '18. Train in the foreground is heading northeast via former SOO rails and had three locomotives, BNSF 4092, BNSF 4428, and BNSF 6675. Train in the background waits to head the opposite direction from Dixie Siding, a remnant of the former C&NW main line and had three locomotives, BNSF 6935, BNSF 38xx, and CN 2994. If I had known both trains were led by BNSF units, I would have attempted to capture a decent shot of the meet. |
