Acccording to note attached to the photo by Jim Boyd, "C&IM #30 & #31 are the worlds only EMD RS1325's. They are in theory a small geep: in practice, an overgrown siwtcher. They have not been a resounding success as either a switcher or as road power: but whatever they are, they are thoroughally (sic) interesting." Specs - EMD, 1960, prime mover was EMD 567D1, 12 cylinders, 52'2" length, 10'6 7/8" width, 14'7" height, weight of 112 tons. |
