Or so it would seem. Metro North operates several units paid for by Connecticut DOT, which honors their rail heritage by painting them in the McGinnis scheme of the late 1950s. It looks good on them, and they do stand out, as seen from across the river at Bear Mountain State Park. Since Metro North pools the power, these units can be seen on the Hudson Line just as easily as in Danbury.
