Winter Day. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during February of 1966. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #6027, #6506, and #6026. All were built in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. #6027 and #6026 are EF-25A's built by EMD, but #6506 is a GF-25A built by General Electric. They are passing under the 4th Street Bridge and into the Eastbound Receiving Yard with a fully-loaded coal train. Partially visible on the right is SOUTH Tower. |
