Here is page one of an eight-page article by Harry T. Sohlberg entitled "Horseshoe Curve." It was published originally in the March 1941 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 28. Partial Caption: "Pennsy fast freight, behind an [unidentified] M-1a Mountain type, dives into the west portal of the double-track New Portage Tunnel at Gallitzin, crest of the Alleghenies. This bore was originally part of the New Portage RR., route of Pennsylvania trains before Horseshoe Curve was built in 1854."
