| Built in the Milwaukee shops, this old beauty resides with a twin sibling on a spur within the confines of the closed Wausau Paper, Brokaw plant. The plant was closed in Februaury 2012 as a result of pressue from Starboard Value LP, a holding company which owned (and possibly still does) the largest share of Wausau Paper common stock. Starbord wanted Wausau Paper to get out of print paper business and move into the more profitable tissue industry. Neenah Paper bought some of the brands of print paper from Wausau Paper as they prepared the closure of Brokaw, and is doing well in this field. Starboard Value meanwhile, as of January 2014 was still pressuring Wausau Paper trying to make a quick buck, hoping to increase share value as fast as possible. |
