PRR E44 #4424  Contributor's Pick!       
Starting in 1960 through 1963, GE built 66 E44 units for the Pennsylvania RR. They were 4400 hp electric freight units and easily recognized by the two single-arm Faiveley pantographs on top rather than the more common double arm like the GG1 double arm.
