Jerseyville & Eastern RR
This stretch of rail may be all that's left of the Jerseyville & Eastern RR, a very short line (less than 1/2 mile) located in Jerseyville IL. The road was formed in 1941 when the Chicago Springfield & St Louis abandoned its line; the J&E connecting the C&A with a couple of industries. They operated through 1965 (with a small 4 wheel Plymouth at the end) and formally abandoned by 1967. This view looks southwest at Curtis Street.
