Marianchuk. Here is the second of two successive original photos by Jack D. Bounds, Jr., that were taken near Darby, Pennsylvania, c. 1953. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3635, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during April of 1916 and retired in November of 1954 after 38 years of faithful service. Note the trainphone apparatus on the tender's deck.
