Two SD45s of four that brought the train in are pulling the stack pack portion of the train forward onto ex L&HR. The other two units can then pull the rear of the train past the switch and the stack portion can then tie them together, get the other power in the clear and shove the whole thing back past the switch so the power can be put back together. Conrail required NYSW to keep the stacks on the head-end at all times so this required shuffling the train in the old Maybrook yard as they effectively changed direction there. |
