I beleive you are correct with your assertion that all of the track in this shot is ex CGW. At the time of this photo it would have been CNW, which became UP, and is now PGR. This is the north end of Northfield, and the brdige is the MN 3. This line continues to Randolf, and eventually to Cannon Falls. I believe the track off to the right is all that remains today.

CGW went from Northfield to Red Wing. MILW hugged the Mississippi river between La Crosse and Hastings.

milw had trackage from failbault to cannon falls-red wing untill 1917 government control tore it out-then milw leased trackage from cgw to service cannonfalls and red wing
