PRR 9855, EFP-15, c. 1966
Title:  PRR 9855, EFP-15, c. 1966
Description:  Chione. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken near Cove, Pennsylvania, c. 1966. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9855 and an unidentified FF-16 built by Fairbanks-Morse. #9855 is an EFP-15 constructed by GM-EMD in June of 1952 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. In this context, they're pulling a rather short mixed-cargo freight train out of Enola to Altoona and points West. Note the "focal orange" cabin car.
