TP 109 is the former Midland Valley 153. Built as a GP7 in 1953, it was involved in a collision at Bokoshe OK and rebuilt by EMD as a GP9M while retaining its original number (MV 153) and a new builders number. It eventually become TP 109 within the Missouri Pacific system. Not long after this picture was taken it was renumbered 1696 and survived until 1979. It's shown here on what used to be home rails, the former MV yard in Tulsa OK. |
