This train came over the small trestle at Church Jct. on the CN/IC. Troy Rogers, Kermit Geary Jr. and I had quite a photo line going before we headed off to the Cracker Barrel in Caseyville, IL.

Sperry Rail Service Shops
Description:
We went by the Sperry Shops after supper at Cracker Barrel. This is an Induction-Ultrasonic Rail Flaw Detector Car. They were rebuilt from 1920-1940s vintage gas electric cars called "doodlebugs". This is ex-CNW 300882 and is in the new paint scheme.

Sperry Car
Description:
Here's another Induction-Ultrasonic Car, this one I saw in Poplar Bluff, MO in February 2004 on the UP. This car is out of service due to behind hit in this end by a gondola while in Mexico. This car is in the older paint scheme and is named "Gary Langdon". This is ex-SAL 2003. 137 is also in the old paint scheme.

Parked Northbound Manifest
Description:
On Dexter Siding just west of One Mile Road in the rain. Some good power was on it today. The train to the right was what I really came over for, having missed the shot at Ash Hill due to stupidity. I got more than I bargained for by coming to Dexter.

Description:
I caught this train at Ash Hill, but missed the shot due to stupidity, I had my memory card locked! This had a good leader and it was raining, so I thought it would make an interesting shot, I caught it headed past the old MP Depot.
